St. Sophia Cathedral is a cathedral temple of Kiev Metropolis, an outstanding architectural monument of Kievan Rus and a multi-structural complex-museum. The cathedral is one of the city's best known landmarks and the first patrimony on territory of Ukraine to be inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO along with the Kievo-Pechersk Lavra Monastery complex.
Since Lavra foundation as the cave monastery in 1051 it has been a preeminent center of the Eastern Orthodox Christianity in Eastern Europe.

The museum of Pyrohovo Village was founded in the late 1960s, but almost a decade had passed before it was open to the public. The museum boasts an impressive 40,000 collection of folk costumes, fabrics, embroidery, carpets, ceramics, articles of metal, wood, glassware, musical instruments, paintings, and household articles.
Day 3, Odessa

In the 19th century Odessa was the fourth largest city of Imperial Russia, after Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Warsaw. Its historical architecture has been heavily influenced by French and Italian styles. Some buildings are built in a mixture of different styles, including Art Nouveau, Renaissance and Classicist.

Rome has its famous catacombs and so does Paris. But the city with the largest network of underground tunnels is undoubtedly Odessa, Ukraine. Its 2,500 kilometers eclipses the 300 kilometers found in Rome and the 500 kilometers in Paris. They were used for various nefarious purposes over the years and as a base for partisans during World War II.
