Lvov was once a major population center of the Halych-Volyn Principality, the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, the Habsburg Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria. Today Lvov remains one of the most charming and mysterious beauties of Eastern Europe. It is the only Ukrainian "Ensemble of the Historic Centre" included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

"Leopolis Grand Prix" is an international festival of vintage cars, which is held in Lviv each year in summer. Many are unaware that 80 years ago, when the city was not yet a part of Ukraine, a race called "Grand Prix" was held here. For years, lovers of vintage cars recreate this historic event. They restore and organize races on the historic "Lviv Triangle" route (Vitovs’kogo street - Stryis'ka street and Hvardijs’ka).

Lychakov Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Europe. Each year its architectural beauty attracts hordes of tourists and it has been compared to famed Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.
